CVSR Staff Member Receives Zenith Award

Congratulations to Kathleen Sapola, manager of programming and sales for Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad on being named the recipient of the 2015 Hospitality Rookie of the Year award at Akron Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau‘s Zenith Awards! Kathleen was presented with the award on Wednesday, May 4 at the John S. Knight Center. The Zenith Awards recognizes individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to Akron & Summit County’s hospitality industry.

In the two years that she has been with the organization, Kathleen has expanded special events and programming on the train. Kathleen has coordinated popular events such as Ales on Rails™, Grape Escape and THE POLAR EXPRESS™ as well as introduced special dinners and new programs like Royalty on the Rails.

We at CVSR are very proud of Kathleen for this well-deserved recognition.
