Alan Rice Named 2016 CVSR Volunteer of the Year

Congratulations to Alan Rice for being named CVSR’s 2016 Volunteer of the Year. Since becoming a CVSR volunteer in June 2009, Alan has contributed 7,800+ hours of service. In 2016 alone, Alan recorded 1,494.5 volunteer hours!

Alan has served in many roles with outstanding dedication. On the train, Alan is a conductor and brakeman. He is active in the CVSR Volunteer Association and currently serves as Treasurer and is a member of the communications and education committees. In addition, Alan assisted in the revision of the Volunteer Policies and Procedures manual and has presented at continuing education events for the volunteers.

Alan is always concerned with providing a safe operation and excellent customer service. His detailed view on everything he has been involved with has contributed greatly to the success of CVSR. Congratulations, Alan!
