Veterans, Active Military and First Responders

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad will provide a complimentary train ride to veterans and their family members on November 11, 2020. The event is presented by SummaCare. CVSR invites veterans, active military, first responders and up to three family members to take a two hour complimentary train ride through Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Veterans and their families can choose to depart from Akron Rockside Station, located at 27 Ridge Street, at 10 a.m. or from Rockside Station, located at 7900 Old Rockside Road, at 10:15 a.m.

There will be a maximum of four tickets per veteran and due to CVSR’s physical distancing policies, tickets MUST be redeemed in blocks of four.

Cafe Car:

There will NOT be a Café car, therefore, concessions and souvenirs will not be sold. You may bring commercially prepackaged snacks and drinks. Personal water bottles are allowed on the train. Alcoholic beverages and fast food will not be permitted on the train.

ADA Accessible Seating:

Reserve wheelchair accessible tickets by calling (330) 439-5708, ext. 240. Wheelchair accessibility is only available in coach cars from our Rockside Station.

Service Animal Policy

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), CVSR does accommodate service animals on board the train. Only dogs that are trained service animals will be admitted to board the CVSR train. Pets and other animals not considered service animals will, under no circumstances, be allowed to board.
