All Aboard Rods on Rails

Ride our rails to Indigo Lake for a unique fishing excursion led by the Cuyahoga Valley National Park! Learn about fishing techniques, wildlife and nature within and around the lake. This park-led event is a hands-on workshop with access to fishing equipment during your visit.

Passengers riding from the Akron depot for this excursion are encouraged to pack a lunch to enjoy at Indigo Lake alongside the CVNP staff. All coolers and lunch bags must be sized under 14 Quarts to fit on passengers’ laps or underneath their seats. Packed lunches are not permitted to be consumed onboard the train. This event is for ages 5 and above.

Seating is in a coach car as general admission.

Due to park terrain, ADA accessibility will be limited.

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), CVSR does accommodate service animals on board the train. Only dogs that are trained service animals will be admitted to board the CVSR train. Pets and other animals not considered service animals will, under no circumstances, be allowed to board.
