CVSR Experiences Growth through Bike, Hike & Run Aboard! Program

CVSR Experiences Growth through Bike, Hike & Run Aboard! Program

2016 was an amazing year for Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.  The organization welcomed record ridership with 117,800 aboard its National Park Scenic Excursions; over 8,000 students aboard its Student Explorer series; and over 23,000 aboard its Bike, Hike & Run Aboard programs.

With the support of generous donors, CVSR is able to share the wonders of the National Park with our community as a vital source of discovery, education and preservation within the historic Cuyahoga Valley.  In conjunction with invaluable partnerships, including the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and Ohio & Erie Canalway, CVSR plays a critical role in providing access to discover over 125 trails within the park and direct access to the iconic Towpath Trail, one of Ohio’s longest and most scenic bikeways.

In its 10th year in operation, CVSR’s Bike, Hike & Run Aboard program allows cyclists, hikers and runners to enjoy Northeast Ohio’s premier recreational destinations by offering the ability to travel in one direction and ride the train back for $3 from one of eight boarding stations along the Towpath Trail.

While the Bike, Hike & Run Aboard program has experienced great growth since its inception, it is dependent on the generous support of donors to sustain its operation.  Please help ensure this worthy investment in the health of our community stays alive for generations to come.
