Tickets start at $15 for adults and $10 for children (ages 3-12). Premium seating options are available for an additional charge. Ticket prices for special excursions vary.
Print-at-home tickets can be presented on paper or by phone via the link that was received with your confirmation email. Will Call tickets are to be retrieved from the ticket booth on the day of departure.
All tickets must be purchased at the time of reservation. Your tickets are reserved in your cart for 10 minutes to allow time to add, remove or purchase tickets. If you take longer than 10 minutes to purchase your order, the tickets will be released from your cart.
There are large parking lots at the stations. Parking is free at all of our boarding stations. We recommend you arrive to the train station 30 minutes before the train departs to ensure time for parking, traffic and other unforeseen weather conditions.
Please ensure that you arrive to your departing station at least 30 minutes prior to departure. Our conductors must ensure that the train leaves on time and cannot wait for late passengers. If you have already purchased tickets and miss your departure, we can put you on standby for the next available departure. However, if the train is sold out, the tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
Special Events: If you miss the train for a special event or program, tickets cannot be refunded or transferred. For special excursions, there is an option to purchase refund protection upon checkout, but cancellation must be given in advance and is managed by our ticketing company.
If you miss your train while at a layover, you are responsible for getting transportation back to your point of origin.
We accept cash and all major credit cards except for American Express. We cannot accept personal checks.
The trainmen will direct you to your car, once on board refer to the seat number on your ticket. Trainmen will assist you in finding your seat and check tickets when the train starts moving.
Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad has a handicap accessible car with a lift. Please note: availability may be limited. If you would like to request seating in our ADA cars, please call our customer service office at 234-759-0100 to book. Due to the limitations of some cars where programs are offered, the ADA car may not be available for certain special excursions. Please contact us with any questions.
You must purchase tickets for children if they are between the ages of 3yrs – 12yrs. Children 2yrs and under do not need a ticket; however, they will not have a seat held for them and must sit on the parent or guardian’s lap.
*Any special excursion listed as 21 and over only is an adult-only event where alcohol is served. Due to our liquor licence, no persons under the age of 21 will be permitted to board these events. Children and infants are not permitted on these excursions.
Strollers are allowed on the train, but you will be asked to fold it when boarding so it can be stowed away, on board, safely during the trip.
No, pets are not permitted on the train.
Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad does accommodate service animals on the train. While we do not discourage passengers with service animals from coming on the train, passengers must be aware that there are several factors to consider before deciding to ride with their service animal:

No, food and beverages are not allowed to be brought onto the train.
Yes. There is a cafe car, therefore, concessions and souvenirs are sold. Food and alcoholic beverages and fast food will not be permitted on the train.
We understand the importance of dietary restrictions. Due to the nature of our events, we can only offer vegetarian/vegan meal options at this time. Guests must contact customer service at no later than a week from their Dinner on the Train event. Any requests received after this time, will not be accommodated. Please note due to the unique nature of our dinners, guests who request a vegetarian/vegan option will not know the meal they receive in advance.
There are restrooms located throughout the train cars and at our main boarding stations.
