Five New Events this April

Spring is here! Check out five brand new events on the train this April!

1) Board Games on the Paul Revere

Saturday, April 8th, 15th 22nd & 29th, 12:35 p.m.- 2:40 p.m.
Departs at 12:35 p.m out of Peninsula Depot 

The Paul Revere is one of our lounge cars with cozy chairs and vintage tabletops that will bring you back to the heyday of train travel! This car provides a great view of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and is perfect for playing a board game or bringing a deck of cards. Sit back, grab a drink and play a game with family or a group of friends!

We’ll provide classic board games like checkers, Scrabble and cards or you can bring your own on board! A private cash bar serving beer, wine, pop and water will be available throughout the duration of your train ride. A private cash bar is available to passengers 21 and over.

Tickets are $15 per person (Ages 3 and over)

2) Evening Dining on the Rails

Friday, April 21st, 7-9 p.m.
Departs at 7 p.m. out of Rockside Station  

CVSR will have a variety of new dinner excursions in 2017! We’re kicking off our first dinner on Friday, April 21st. Enjoy a delicious three course dinner, catered by Creekside Restaurant! View the menu below:

First Course
Chilled Roasted Vegetable and Bowtie Pasta Salad
served with house-made bread and crackers

Second Course
Your choice of
Milano Chicken with Redskin Mashed Potatoes and Vegetable, or
Roasted Salmon with Creamy White Wine and Leek Sauce served with Herb Risotto, or
A Vegetarian Option of Mozzarella and Vegetable Stuffed Portabello Mushrooms with Her Risotto

Third Course
A Strawberry and Vanilla Custard Filled Cream Puff

3) Caution: Party!

Friday, April 21st, 7-9 p.m.
Departs at 7 p.m. out of Rockside Station 

This event is for our biggest CVSR fans! If you’ve enjoyed Coach Car 1 (“The Party Car”) on our Ales on Rails and Grapes Escape excursion, then climb aboard for a night of dancing, music and irreverent comedy. For passengers ages 21 and up.

This is a loud, noisy, singing trip that will be hosted by our lively volunteers! Beer, wine, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for additional purchase in our concession car.

Tickets are $35 per person.

4) Wine & Canvas on the Rails

Sunday, April 30th, 1:50 p.m.-5:10 p.m.
Departs at 1:50 p.m. out of Rockside Station 

CVSR is partnering with Wine & Canvas to bring and afternoon of painting on the train! Climb aboard for an afternoon of fun, creativity and a little wine! You will receive step-by-step instruction from a talented artist while you enjoy a train ride through the landscape of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Your ticket includes the train ride, finished painting and instruction. There will be wine available for purchase on board, for our guests ages 21 and over.

Tickets are $50 per person. For passengers 14 and up.

5) Trivia on the Train

Friday, April 21st, 7-9 p.m.
Departs at 7 p.m. out of Rockside Station   

Test your knowledge on the trivia train! Join us for a fun-filled night while you ride the rails through the National Park. In celebration of Earth Day, you will play two rounds of environment-themed trivia: history and the environment in pop culture (movies, t.v., etc.). There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize, including tickets to one of our upcoming special events.

Snacks and beverages will be available for additional purchase in the concession car.

Tickets are $25 per person. Pre-sale only.

Taylor is the Marketing Manager at Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.

With the recently announced changes to local, state, and CDC COVID-19 masks protocols, we want to remind our guests that CVSR falls under Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regulations and guests, volunteers, and staff are required to wear masks until further notice when on the train and at any of our facilities despite local and state regulations.
