Hale Farm by Train

Hale Farm & Village, a living history museum operated by the Western Reserve Historical Society, is within the boundaries of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. . . and is accessible by the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. Explore 19th century life in the Western Reserve including 32 historic structures, craft and trade demonstrations, farm animals and gardens.Costumed interpreters provide a look into daily life on the farm.

 

From June to August, you can journey to the past by train Wednesday through Sunday. Departures are at 10:00 am from The Akron Northside Depot where you will return at 2:30 pm

(September-October is Sat & Sun only).

 

Prices: Adults: $33, Children (3-12): $21 – includes train ride to and from Hale Farm, as well as the admission fee

Seating is in a coach car and general admission (seated with Explorer passengers)

Ticket Info and Timing

Ticket includes train ride, and admission into Hale Farm & Village. All passengers ages 3 and up need a ticket. Children 2 and under do not need a ticket but must sit on a parent’s or guardian’s lap throughout the trip.

TIMING OF EVENT:

10:00 a.m. – Depart Akron Northside Station

10:40 a.m. – Arrive at Indigo Lake/ Hale Farm *tram picks up passengers and takes to Hale Farm

1:50 p.m. – Board train to head south to Akron, then return back at Akron Northside Station *tram returns passengers to train boarding location

2:30 p.m. – Arrive back at Akron Northside Station
