Kids mingle with favorite superheroes on Ohio train

Zaine McDonald stepped onto the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR) train as a normal 4-year-old boy.

As the train chugged away from the station, though, Zaine pulled on his Spider-Man costume and his super­powers came out, revealing his ability to crouch in small spaces and hang nimbly from the locomotive’s tables.

Zaine was one of about 40 kids to dress up and embrace his imagination alongside superheroes, who took a break from flying to ride the rails on CVSR’s Superhero Train.

During the hour-and-a-half train ride, kids were entertained by a host of activities presented by four superheroes from Party People LLC: Bat Guy, Spidey, Super Power Girl and Patriotic Hero.

Bat Guy and Super Power Girl led the kids through interactive storytelling and “Super Girl Says,” a twist on Simon Says that requires kids to continuously run in place while following directions.
