AKRON, Ohio – More than 1,100 people recently took a trip to the North Pole on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad’s Polar Express. Now in its 25 year, the excursion features two trains that run through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park several nights each week during the holiday season.
Each year, revelers wearing pajamas board the trains for the two-hour journey at either the Akron Northside or Rockside stations, filling a total of 21 historical cars. The experience is based on the popular movie and children’s book, “The Polar Express.” Join us as we hop aboard to report on the experience.
