Service Animals

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad does permit service animals. Please view our Service Animal Policy for more details.

Refunds and Exchange Policies

All tickets are non-refundable upon purchase without the purchase of Refund Protection offered at checkout.

Please review your order carefully prior to entering payment.

REFUND PROTECTION IS AVAILABLE AT CHECKOUT: All tickets are non-refundable without the purchase of Refund Protection offered at checkout. The total cost of tickets will be refunded minus the Refund Protection fee.

With the purchase of Refund Protection, the railroad must be notified at least 3 days prior to scheduled trip. After 3 days, tickets will not be refunded.  Customers requesting a refund must contact .

All tickets are non-exchangeable upon purchase.

Other Policies

Passengers under the age of 3 are not required to purchase a ticket, but must be seated on a parent or guardian’s lap throughout the duration of the train ride.

No outside food or beverage is allowed on board.

All passengers purchasing alcohol on board must be 21 years of age or older, and will need to show valid ID.

No alcohol sales on Sunday until 1 p.m.

Smoking and use of e-cigarettes is not permitted on board or within 50 feet of the ticket booth.

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad has canceled all train rides from March 13—September 30 due to COVID-19. View More Information

Memberships and gift certificates will be extended based on the number of months train rides are canceled.
