Thank You Sisler McFawn Foundation
By the fall of 2020 Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad will have a newly renovated ADA accessible table car for passengers with mobility limitations, thanks in part to a generous $20,000 grant from the Sisler McFawn Foundation. The renovations will include installation of wood walls and new carpeting, curtains, tables, and seating. Once the renovations are completed CVSR will be offering table events such Breakfast and Dinner on the Train, Ales on RailsTM, and Grape Escape on the ADA car. Thank you, Sisler McFawn Foundation for supporting improved accessibility and accommodations for passengers with mobility limitations!
In 2019 Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad received a $7,500 grant from The Sisler McFawn Foundation in support of its Education Program.
The grant enabled 500 students from low-income schools and organizations in Summit County to participate in CVSR education programs in 2019. These programs are operated in partnership with the National Park Service and educate school-age children about the resources of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park on board the train. Grant funds subsidized the cost of school buses to transport students to and from the boarding site.
CVSR would like to thank The Sisler McFawn Foundation for their continued support of CVSR and its mission to provide educational, recreational and heritage railroad experiences and to provide alternative transportation to and within Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Ohio & Erie Canalway.
