CVSR Hosts Christmas in July

Each year Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad presents THE POLAR EXPRESS™ for six weeks in November and December. CVSR partners with organizations such as Akron Children’s Hospital, Providence House, National MS Society, Cleveland Sight Center, Northeast Ohio Adoption Services and many more to provide children and families most in need of Christmas magic the opportunity to ride The Polar Express.

To provide these organizations the assistance necessary to identify children for our Charity runs, CVSR hosts a July fundraiser called Christmas in July. Participation in this fundraiser helps to fun our Annual Polar Express Charity Run!

“This year tickets for Christmas in July are divided into three groups to allow as many riders as possible the chance to support the Charity runs” says Danny Napolitano, Program Manager at CVSR.  Depending on the type of ticket you purchase, either 50% of the ticket revenue or all alcohol sale proceeds go towards the Charity runs.

Tickets run from $20 to $100.

Christmas in July will take place on the train on July 29th from 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. This fundraising event is open to passengers 21 and over. Boarding begins at 7:00 p.m. The train will depart out of Rockside station at 7:30 p.m.
