Summer Beer Tasting Events
This summer get your brew crew together for Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad’s premier beer tasting excursions, Ales on Rails™. While on board this two-hour excursion, you will sample five different beers, giving you a chance try a variety. Each passenger will receive five light appetizers catered by Moe‘s including pasta salad, chips and dip, a sandwich, dessert and more! With different beer tasting themes and brands each month, there’s sure to be something for everyone! See below for our summer beer tasting dates.
Great British Beers | July 21
We may have declared our independence from their governance, but Great Britain still makes some great beers! Train departs at 7:30 p.m. from Akron Northside Station, event concludes at 9:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.
Goose Island | August 18
House of LaRose is proud to present five beers from Goose Island! Train departs at 7:30 p.m. from Rockside Station, event concludes at 9:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.
Ages 21+. Passengers without a valid ID will not be permitted to board. Passengers may purchase other beverages and snacks form the concession car at an additional cost. We accept cash and credit cards except American Express.

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR) is a tourist excursion railway and private sector, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization operating in partnership with Cuyahoga Valley National Park. CVSR is located in Northeast, Ohio and runs through 33,000 acres of land that is part of the National Park System. The train travels from stations in Independence, OH to Akron, OH.
Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad offers a variety of excursions year round. Climb aboard for scenic tours, dining programs, beer and wine tastings, family entertainment and more! The train offers an excellent view of the natural scenery and wildlife of the national park.
