Ride CVSR Photo Contest

Why do you love to #RideCVSR? We want to hear! Starting on August 1st CVSR is introducing a #RideCVSR photo contest. See below for the photo contest details and rules.

Term:
The 2018 #RideCVSR Photo Contest begins on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 and ends on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. (EST). By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest and states that they are 18 years or older.

Who may enter:
Individuals 18 years old or older may enter the 2018 #RideCVSR Photo Contest. The photo submitted must have been taken by the contest participant.

What to enter:
Digital photographs taken by passengers who have rode the train at Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. Photos can be of volunteers, the train, families, event excursions, stations, etc. CVSR will not accept photos taken on train tracks. Photos MUST include a caption answering the question, “Why do you love to ride CVSR?” AND include the hashtag #RideCVSR.

How to enter:
Please submit digital photographs, caption and the hashtag #RideCVSR via Facebook. CVSR will not accept any photographs that do not contain a caption answering the question “Why do you love to ride CVSR?” or the hashtag, #RideCVSR. Facebook posts MUST be listed public (see photo) for CVSR to see the entry. Limit one entry per person.

Contest judging:
Photographs will be judged via Facebook from August 20, 2018 to August 31, 2018. Photographs will be posted to CVSR’s Facebook photo album, Ride CVSR, on August 20 and photographs with the highest amounts of likes will be contest winners. Judges will be CVSR’s Facebook audience of over 57,000 followers. Contest entrants are permitted to share CVSR’s album to get additional likes.

Prizes:
The photo entry with the highest number of likes will receive dome tickets to Steam in the Valley. The photo entry with the second-highest number of likes will receive National Park Scenic Excursion tickets. The prize will be awarded to the Facebook user who submitted the photograph. Prize winners will be contacted on September 4 via Facebook Messenger.

By entering the 2018 #RideCVSR Photo Contest, each contestant grants to Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad an exclusive, royalty-free and irrevocable right and license to publish, print, edit or otherwise use the contestant’s submitted entry, in whole or in part, for any purpose and in any manner or media (including, without limitation, the Internet). Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons appearing to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest or that CVSR deems obscene, offensive or otherwise inappropriate for viewing by a general audience. By participating in the contest, participants grant CVSR the right to change and/or broadcast a participant’s name, associated caption, and the fact that he or she has participated in Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad’s 2018 #RideCVSR Photo Contest. CVSR reserves the right to change or modify the rules of the contest at any time with appropriate notice where applicable.
