All Aboard the Fall Flyer
The two-hour nonstop Fall Flyer train ride returns to Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad for its second year starting October 6. View the vibrant colors of autumn as the train weaves through Cuyahoga Valley National Park on weekends in October. The Fall Flyer train ride gives passengers an opportunity to view the breathtaking scenery uninterrupted from a variety of seating options aboard heritage railcars, including CVSR’s recently acquired California Zephyr train cars.
The train departs from Rockside Station (7900 Old Rockside Road, Independence) at 9:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 13, 20, and 27. The train departs from Akron Northside Station (27 Ridge Street, Akron) at 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 14, 21 and 28. CVSR recommends arriving at the train station 30 minutes prior to departure.
There are a variety of seating options, including table top, first class, suites (four people), roomettes (two people) and dome seating. New this year: seating in the California Zephyr dome, suite and first class cars! Tickets range in price from $25 to $30 per person. Passengers ages two and under do not require a ticket but must sit on a parent’s or guardian’s lap.
Food, beverages and merchandise are available for purchase in the concession car. CVSR accepts cash and all major credit cards, except American Express. Tickets can be purchased online at www.cvsr.com/fall-flyer, by calling 1-800-468-4070 x1, or at the station 30 minutes prior to departure time.
