Nominate a Fourth Grade Class for a Free Train Ride
The National Park Service’s Open Outdoors for Kids (OOK) campaign gives every fourth-grader the opportunity to visit and experience national parks for free! OOK programs are intended to enable students and teachers to have an increased awareness and engagement of national public and federal lands.
Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is proud to be a part of the OOK campaign made possible by a grant from the National Park Foundation. CVSR will provide fourth-grade students the opportunity to see and learn about Ohio’s only national park at no cost to the school.
In addition to the educational train ride led by staff CVSR will conduct a pre-site visit to the classroom to introduce students to the program. Transportation costs to and from the station will be reimbursed.
