CVSR Announces Matching Gift Opportunity

Peninsula, Ohio – March 3, 2025 – Exciting news is on the horizon for supporters of the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR)! Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, CVSR has received a $100,000 matching gift opportunity, allowing individual contributions to make an even bigger impact.

For the past two years, CVSR has been conducting a $3 million, three-year Locomotive Fleet Capital Campaign to secure a standardized fleet of locomotives. This initiative ensures more reliable service, greater operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability for the beloved railroad. Thanks to generous private and foundation gifts, CVSR has already raised an impressive $2 million toward its goal.
