We’ve got just the programs to keep your campers engaged, entertained, educated, and literally, on track to a fun filled day!

The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is proud to offer two unique summer camp programs. Treat your child to an unforgettable adventure by registering them for one of our exciting scenic railroad trips!

WALK IN THE PARK

Campers and counselors board at the Akron Northside train station at 10:00 am and journey north to Indigo Lake. Activity guide books and a CVSR education specialist will give you the supports you need to help guide your campers through wildlife discovery and exploration. Campers are encouraged to bring their lunches to eat in the park before returning to the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad Akron Northside station at 2:30 pm. For children ages pre-K through grade 3. Total excursion time: 4.5 hrs.

CANAL WAY QUEST

Older campers will enjoy this seek-and-find treasure hunt along the historic Erie Canal. Using maps and clues, campers will discover the natural and cultural gems of the canal. This adventure begins 10:00 am at the Akron Northside train station and journeys north to the Peninsula train station. A CVSR education specialist will be on board to assist with any questions or guidance you may need. Campers are encouraged to bring their lunches to eat before returning to the Akron Northside train station at 2:30 pm. For children in grades 4 and up. Total excursion time: 4.5 hrs

Departure : 10:00 am   Return: 2:30 pm
