Due to significant erosion along part of the Cuyahoga River near the railroad tracks, we, along with Cuyahoga Valley National Park, have made the difficult decision to cancel all National Park Scenic rides through May 1. However, we are happy to announce that we will be offering a National Park Flyer from our Rockside Station.
Climb aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad’s flagship train! The National Park Scenic excursion is the best way to see the length of Cuyahoga Valley National Park from a one-of-a-kind vantage point.
Sit back as the train weaves through Cuyahoga Valley along the rushing Cuyahoga River. Passengers may catch a glimpse of CVNP’s variety of wildlife including an eagle’s nest, deer, blue heron and other natural habitats. Traces of the Valley’s industrial history, such as the Ohio & Erie Canal can also be seen.
Trains will run on Saturdays and Sundays from January to April and Friday through Sunday in May.* Passengers can board at Rockside Station, Peninsula Station or Akron Northside Station. See below for departure times and station locations.
Passengers can choose from a variety of seating options including coach, tabletop or first class. Tickets range from $11 – $36. Scroll down for seating pictures and details!
No outside food or drink is allowed on the train. An onboard café car is available offering concessions.
Before you ride, please review our safety policies.
*Excluding Steam in the Valley weekends May 13-15 and 20-22.
