Climb aboard the train on this regularly running excursion! The National Park Scenic excursion is the best way to see the length of Cuyahoga Valley National Park from a unique vantage point. Sit back as the train weaves through Cuyahoga Valley and races along with the rushing Cuyahoga River. Passengers will see a variety of wildlife including an eagles nest, deer and other habitats. Beavers and otters can also be spotted at the beaver marsh, which was once surrounded by old cars and worn-out parts until efforts by humans and beavers transformed the site back into a beautiful wetland.
During the months of January to April, the National Park Scenic excursion is a two-and-a-half hour round trip through Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Passengers can board at Rockside Station, Peninsula Depot, or at Akron Northside Station. See below for departure times and station locations. In May the National Park Scenic schedule expands and the ride becomes three-and-a-half-hours in length.
Passengers can choose from a variety of seating options including coach, table top, first class, lounge (only through end of April), upper dome, executive class, or suites (only through end of April). Tickets range from $15 – $35 per person. Scroll down for seating pictures and details!
