How long is the trip?
The Classic National Park Scenic ride lasts approximately 4 hours and departs from the Rockside and Akron Northside Depots, offering a leisurely journey through the valley. For a shorter adventure, the National Park Scenic Express is about 2 hours and 20 minutes and departs from the Peninsula Depot, perfect for guests with limited time or families with young children.
Are strollers allowed on the train?
Foldable strollers that can stowed away safely between or above are allowed.
Are pets allowed on the train?
Pets are not allowed on the train, however, certified guide dogs are always welcome to travel with their handlers to ensure a safe and accessible experience for all guests.
Can I bring my own food or beverage on the train?
Outside food and beverages are not permitted on the train. But don’t worry, the Café Car offers a wide selection of snacks, soft drinks, wine, beer, and even healthy options, all at reasonable prices, so you can enjoy something delicious while you ride.
Do you offer a military discount?
Active Military/Veterans/First Responders receive $2.00 off coach tickets every day for the National Park Scenic excursion (except during October).
Every Thursday from June - September Active Military/Veterans/First Responders can receive 1 free ticket and up to three other tickets at half price for the National Park Scenic excursion.
Active Military/Veterans/First Responders receive 10% items purchased in the cafe car – (excluding alcohol) on any day or excursion.
Discounts are only available for purchase at our Akron Northside Station or Peninsula Depot
