National Park Scenic Ride

Step aboard and settle in for a relaxing journey through the heart of the scenic Cuyahoga Valley National Park, where every mile offers a new view to enjoy. As the train gently rolls along the historic rails, guests can expect a peaceful, immersive experience filled with natural beauty, wildlife sightings, and charming glimpses of the valley’s rich heritage.

Guests may choose from two ride options to best fit their schedule and interests. The Classic 24-mile, round-trip ride departs from either the Rockside Depot or the Akron Northside Depot and lasts approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes. This leisurely journey offers ample time to relax, connect with loved ones, and take in the ever-changing landscape as the train travels through forests, open meadows, and alongside the winding Cuyahoga River.

For guests seeking a shorter adventure, our Express rides depart from the Peninsula Depot and travel round trip either north to Rockside Depot and back or south to Akron Northside Depot and back. These rides last approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes, making them a perfect option for families with small children, first-time riders, or guests with limited time who still want to experience the magic of the railroad.

The Café Car is available on all rides, offering guests the opportunity to purchase a selection of snacks, soft drinks, beer, wine, and unique souvenirs to enhance their journey. Whether you’re enjoying a light refreshment or picking up a keepsake to remember your trip, the Café Car adds an extra layer of comfort and convenience to your rail experience.

Family Fun Loop 

The Family Fun Loops are a shorter, family-friendly train rides designed especially for children and their grown-ups. Departing from the Peninsula Depot on Saturdays and Sundays, these approximately 2 hour and 20 minute round-trip experience is perfect for younger riders, first-time guests, and families looking for a fun and easy outing.

Popular themed rides like Create-A-Critter, Rail Rover, and Trains, Tracks & Trails feature interactive elements, creativity, and engaging moments that make the journey both fun and memorable. Climb aboard, enjoy the scenery, and create lasting family memories.

Food & Beverage Tastings

Our Beverage & Food Tastings offer unique and elevated rail experiences designed for guests ages 21 and over. Signature rides like Perfect Pairings, Ales on Rails, and Vines & Views invite you to relax, sip, and savor as you travel through the scenic valley. Many tastings feature curated selections from local wineries, breweries, distilleries, and restaurants, creating a flavorful journey that highlights the best of our region.

Fun & Games

Our Fun & Games rides bring a lively twist to the rail experience, featuring favorites like Canvas & Wine, Murder Mysteries, Trivia, and Bingo. Designed for adults (and sometimes older children) looking for something unique and entertaining, these interactive rides offer the perfect way to spend a Friday night with friends or even make a few new ones along the way.
