Your Ultimate Guide to Riding the North Pole Adventure™

All aboard! The North Pole Adventure™ is back, and we can’t wait to welcome you aboard for a magical journey filled with holiday cheer, twinkling lights, and a visit from Santa himself. Whether you’re a first-time rider or a returning elf-in-training, here are some helpful tips (straight from Santa’s helpers!) to make sure your trip to the North Pole is merry and bright.

Learn More About North Pole Adventure™

Q: Where do we board the train?

A: All trains depart from Rockside Station, located at:
7900 Old Rockside Road, Independence, OH 44131.
This is where your North Pole journey begins! Follow the festive signs and friendly volunteers to the boarding area.

Q: When should we arrive?

A: Santa’s sleigh doesn’t wait—so neither should you! Please plan to arrive at least 45 minutes before your scheduled departure time. This gives you plenty of time to park, pick up snacks, snap a few photos, and get in the holiday spirit before boarding.

Q: Are there restrooms on board?

A: Yes! Restrooms are available on each car, so you don’t need to worry about making a pit stop before you depart.

Q: Is there food or drink available?

A: Absolutely! Snacks and beverages are available for purchase before you board the train. Once on board, you’ll be treated to milk and cookies—because what’s a trip to the North Pole without them? Don’t worry, nondairy options will also be available.

Q: What should we wear?

A: Pajamas are not just allowed—they’re encouraged! Many families make it a tradition to ride in cozy holiday PJs. But if you’d rather wear your favorite festive sweater, that’s perfectly fine too. Just dress comfortably for the season (and the photo ops!).

Q: Where do we park?

A: Parking is free and available right at Rockside Station. Volunteers and signage will help guide you when you arrive.

Q: How long is the ride?

A: The North Pole Adventure™ lasts approximately 90 minutes from start to finish—plenty of time for storytelling, singing, Santa sightings, and sweet holiday memories.

Q: Is the train heated?

A: Yes! The entire train is warm and toasty, perfect for keeping those cocoa-loving hands cozy as you make your way to the North Pole.

Q: Do we get off the train at the North Pole?

A: The magic happens right outside your window! Guests remain on the train during the entire experience as the North Pole comes alive around you—with sparkling lights, cheerful elves, and Santa himself waving a merry hello.

Q: Any other tips from Santa’s helpers?

A: Bring your camera, bring your holiday spirit, and bring your belief in the magic of Christmas. You’ll want to capture every smile, giggle, and “ho-ho-ho!” along the way.

Ready to make memories that will last a lifetime? Grab your golden ticket, pack your jingle bells, and meet us at Rockside Station—the North Pole Adventure™ awaits!
