CVSR Welcomes New Director of Development

The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR) is excited to announce that Michele Savoldi will join the organization as Director of Development, bringing her extensive experience in fundraising, grants management, and relationship building to help advance CVSR's mission and impact in the Northeast Ohio community.
Savoldi joins CVSR with over a decade of experience in both nonprofit and for-profit industries, including positions as Director of Development & Marketing at Thurber House in Columbus, Ohio, Senior Manager of Corporate Relations at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, and Director of Philanthropy at United Way of Delaware County, Ohio where she led comprehensive development initiatives, cultivated partnerships, and managed campaigns that achieved record contributions. She brings with her a wealth of expertise in strategic planning, donor relations, campaign management, and corporate sponsorships. Her approach to relationship management, stewardship, and engagement has consistently fostered meaningful connections with clients, donors, and community members.
“Michele’s passion for community engagement and her proven track record in development will be instrumental in strengthening CVSR’s programs and partnerships,” said Larry Stevenson, CVSR President/CEO. “We look forward to her leadership in expanding our fundraising efforts and building lasting relationships with our supporters and partners.”
Having generations of family members who worked in the railroad industry, Michele is honored to continue that tradition. Being a lover of nature and spending quite a bit of time in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park hiking, biking and riding the train she is excited that this opportunity connects everything together.
Savoldi is a proud advocate for CVSR’s vision of creating exceptional and memorable experiences, promoting heritage, education, and access for all. CVSR warmly welcomes her as a strategic addition to our team as we continue to connect communities, families, and visitors with the rich history and scenic beauty of the Cuyahoga Valley.
