Brush off your detective skills for an evening of intrigue, suspense, and interactive entertainment! Our popular Murder Mystery train winds its way through the scenic beauty of Cuyahoga Valley National Park as professional actors transport you into a world of secrets, lies, and unexpected twists.

Each performance features a unique theme, ensuring no two journeys are the same. Clues unravel and suspects emerge as you and your fellow passengers work together to solve the mystery before the final whistle blows! Will you crack the case or fall for the red herrings? There's only one way to find out.

The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad's Oktoberfest Murder Mystery is an evening trip featuring great German brews, curated snacks, and murder. Just before the Stein-Holding Contest, beloved beer master Heinrich von Hopps is found dead in a giant stein! Was it a jealous brewer or a disgruntled vendor? Professional actors bring the story to life on board, planting clues across a lively autumn ride. Guests team up with their train car to trade theories and narrow down suspects before the journey ends. Traditional Oktoberfest attire and lederhosen are welcome, but not required.

Jour is in hot water.  Isn’t it curious Senator Dodge forfeited his reservation for the Penthouse Suite?  And that maid looks extremely familiar...

DEARLY DEPARTED
The crime scene:  the quirky and eccentric Grim & Sons Funeral Home, where the air is filled with the scent of lavender and - - something . . . slightly OFF.  Dr. Otto Topsy was found dead in the embalming room, a partially smoked cigar clutched in his right hand, while his face looked as though it had sustained a minor explosion.  Police have rounded up seven prime suspects including the tipsy Funeral Director, a clumsy assistant, the resident chaplain, and a wealthy widow who thinks she’s inhabited by a ghost.  Natural causes?  Unlikely . . .
