The National Park Scenic 2021 season has ended. We look forward to seeing you again in 2022!

With the recently announced changes to local, state, and CDC COVID-19 masks protocols, we want to remind our guests that CVSR falls under Transportation Security Administration (TSA)  and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regulations. Guests, volunteers, and staff are required to wear masks until further notice when on the train, unless they are eating or drinking while in their seats, and at any of our facilities despite local and state regulations.

All Aboard the National Park Scenic Excursion

Climb aboard the train on this regularly running excursion! The National Park Scenic excursion is the best way to see the length of Cuyahoga Valley National Park from a one-of-a-kind vantage point.

Sit back as the train weaves through Cuyahoga Valley and races along with the rushing Cuyahoga River. Passengers will see a variety of wildlife including an eagles nest, deer and other habitats. Beavers and otters can also be spotted at the beaver marsh, which was once surrounded by old cars and worn-out parts until efforts by humans and beavers transformed the site back into a beautiful wetland.

During the months of May-October, the National Park Scenic excursion is a three-and-a-half-hours round trip through Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Passengers can board at Rockside Station, Peninsula Station,  or at Akron Northside Station. See below for departure times and station locations.

Passengers can choose from a variety of seating options including coach, table top or first class.   Tickets range from $10 – $35. Scroll down for seating pictures and details!
